Requirements:
Socket type:
NEMA 14-50 (EV class / for electric vehicles).
Electrical circuit:
Dedicated 50A circuit breaker (required to obtain full 40A charging output power).
Power Setting:
A DIP switch is included in the kit—this is a hardware output power limiter (allows you to reduce the current if necessary).
Important warning:
House dryer circuits are not designed for continuous operation under the full load created by charging an electric vehicle.
